Are hypnosis recordings helpful?
I will teach you tools and techniques that help you to feel in control.
You’ll learn new skills and I’ll ask you to practise them between sessions. Practising the techniques speeds up how quickly you make the changes you want.
It’s best to practise without needing my voice on a recording to help you. Then, wherever you are, you can use the tools and techniques unobtrusively without the need for any equipment or anything other than your mind.
I have provided recordings for some people in particular circumstances, for example, in 2020 a former client was ill with Covid and was obviously anxious because she couldn’t breathe normally. She wanted help to stop panicking. After a video session with her, I provided a recording that she could listen to, especially in the wee small hours of the morning when she felt most desperate. As well as helping her to relax and sleep more easily, the recording suggested that she get medical help for the Covid symptoms when she needed to, and in the meantime, she wouldn’t confuse the Covid symptoms from the feelings people often get of being short of breath when they have a panic attack.
Any recording would be written specifically for you and would probably just be relevant to you while you were adjusting to the new changes.
Long term, it’s best to feel in control of the process and not rely on anyone else, including a hypnotherapist.
